These hunts take place on private land within the beautiful Wrangell-St.Elias National Park & Preserve . The Ahtna Native Corporation has allowed us to hunt on their land because of the large number of grizzly and black bear that prey on moose calves in May and June. Due to thick brush and rugged landscape we generally hunt over bait which allows for better shot placement and more time to judge the size and quality of your trophy bear. You can expect some long days in the stand but your patience will be rewarded the opportunity to watch multiple bears and a chance to harvest the trophy of a lifetime. ATV's are used to access the the area. If you do not have any experience operating an ATV we will teach you some basic operating skills before going into the field. After the hunt you can spend your time fishing in the area's many lakes, sightseeing, or just relaxing at the bunkhouse. Lodging consists of a rustic bunkhouse and hearty home cooked meals.
