This 7 day hunt take place on private land within the beautiful Wrangell-St.Elias National Park & Preserve. The Ahtna Native Corporation allows us to hunt on their land to keep the moose population from declining, due to the large number of grizzly and black bear that prey on moose calves in May and June.
Because of the thick brush and dense forest in our area we generally hunt over bait which allows for better shot placement and gives us more time to judge the size and quality of the bears. You can expect some long days in the stand but your patience will be rewarded with the opportunity to watch multiple bears and a chance to harvest the trophy of a lifetime. ATV's are used to access the area. If you do not have any experience operating an ATV we will teach you some basic operating skills before going into the field.
After the hunt you can spend your time fishing in the area's many lakes, sightseeing, or just relaxing at the bunkhouse.
Lodging consists of a comfortable cabin and hearty home cooked meals.
